  ICT Excellence Friday, 4 September 2009 At the end of last term Devonshire was shortlisted for a national ICT award. We were delighted to be shortlisted in the top five school in the North West area and that itself was a massive achievement as so many school enter the awards each year. We now have 15 weeks to collect vouchers from Tesco which will now allow us to but computer, sports and play equipment. Today an inspector for BECTA (National ICT agency for schools) came and inspected our school on it’s use of ICT. He was very impressed with all the hard work and money that we have invested in ICT but more so with the skills that our children have and the management of the subject. The council have now met twice and are already making some important decisions on behalf of the rest of the school.
