If your child is going to be absent from school, you must let us know each morning, either by calling 01253 478271 and pressing option 1 or by submitting an absence report on Parentapps. You must specify the date you expect your child to return to school. If this information is unknown, you must call school on each morning they are absent.
In line with government guidance, children must only be kept at home to self-isolate for 14 days under the following circumstances:
– They have a persistent dry cough and/or a high temperature
– Another person in their household is showing symptoms of the virus
If the above circumstances do not apply, school is open as usual and your child should come to school.
After school clubs that run at school will all continue as normal, unless you are informed otherwise. We are however, cancelling Friday Coffee Mornings with the Learning Mentors and ‘Wake Up and Shake Up’ sessions until further notice, in an effort to minimise the spread of infection.
As a reminder, we are asking that parents/carers and visitors avoid visiting the Academy office unless it is absolutely necessary, or unless we have contacted you to collect your child.
