We have recently received a number of enquiries about the Free School Meal voucher scheme that you may have read about in the news. I thought it would be a good idea to keep you up to date with our position at present. We are currently working alongside Blackpool Council who are providing weekly food parcels for pupils entitled to free school meals. These will continue to be distributed at school on a Monday to eligible parents. The latest voucher scheme is intended to be used by schools who are either fully closed due to Covid 19, or schools that are unable to provide food parcels. This means that until Blackpool Council advise that schools are moving to a voucher scheme, we will continue to provide weekly food parcels as we have been doing for the last two weeks.
