Headteacher’s Notice
Hello Devonshire! It’s our second full week back and I’m delighted with our strong attendance figures. As you know, regular, punctual attendance is vital. Good attendance supports learning, social skills, confidence and friendships, and builds the habits essential for adult life. Thank you to all parents and carers.
On Thursday, Year 6 visited Blackpool Showtown Museum and the Blackpool Tower Eye. This was the first of around 60 trips pupils will experience this academic year, thanks to The Clore Duffield Foundation. The children were a credit to the school. Thank you to our Year 6 team and everyone involved in planning and organisation.
Our School Choir also held its first rehearsal of the year. We’re incredibly proud and excited for another fantastic season of performances in school and the wider community. Thank you to Mrs Page and Miss Sweeney, our brilliant choir leaders. If your child would like to join, please contact the school office.
We have shared an updated Parent and Carer Code of Conduct. Strong partnership between home and school matters. When we work together, children benefit from shared values and a sense of belonging. Please take time to read the Code on our website.
